About Me

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my passion lies in meeting clients where they are in life and relationships. My goal is to earn your trust and assist you through challenging circumstances, sharing in God's vision for your life.

I hold a Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Bethel University in San Diego, CA. At New Leaf Counseling, I primarily see clients at the Plaza office, with availability at the Zona Rosa and Briarcliff locations.

Areas of Expertise

Since 2010, my education and experience have equipped me to work with individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of issues, including:

• Relationship struggles

• Addiction

• Moderate to severe emotional disturbances (anxiety/depression)

• Trauma

• Mental disorders

I am also certified in crisis intervention as a pastoral counselor and as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.

Professional Experience

My professional journey includes:

• Teaching state-credentialed classes on substance abuse in San Diego

• Instructing courses on psychoeducation, child development, and anger management

• Delivering presentations on relationships at local Kansas City schools and organizations

• Serving on the lay-counseling team at my church

• Publishing articles on social justice issues and addiction, including a national magazine feature in 2014
