Kelli McKinney, MA, LPC, NCC, Christian Counselor
As a counselor, I value a holistic approach to therapy, through a biblical framework, by exploring all aspects of the person's life while respecting each individual's unique reasons for receiving treatment. My goal is to be clinically descriptive and biblically prescriptive, bringing hope and healing to the whole person.
I see a variety of clients and am most passionate working with individuals on issues like grief and loss, abuse recovery, depression, co-dependency, anxiety, identity issues, women's issues, suicidal ideation, postpartum, relationship issues, and adjustment issues, among others.
I am dedicated to establishing a safe and collaborative relationship that meets you where you are but is not afraid to challenge you in truth and grace. I utilize evidence-based treatments within a Christian framework.
I worked several years in full-time ministry prior to obtaining my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. I have experience working as a therapist in both outpatient, collegiate, and inpatient hospital settings which have exposed me to a variety of mental health issues.
I am currently licensed in the state of Missouri and a Board Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors.
I am available for in-person sessions at the Plaza and Briarcliff locations. If you have inquiries, please feel free to email or call me.
